The rockfire media “30A Spring Prize Pack Giveaway” on www.facebook.com/rockfiremedia (the Giveaway) begins at 12:00 PM Central Time on or about Friday, March 30 and ends at 12:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. 2. ELIGIBILITY
The Giveaway is open only to legal residents living in the United States and Canada who are at least 18 years of age. Employees, officers and directors of rockfire media, participating giveaway partners, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, fulfillment and marketing agencies, their immediate families (and those living in their same households) are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. The rockfire media “30A Spring Prize Pack Giveaway” on www.facebook.com/rockfiremedia is a randomized drawing. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Participants may enter only once per email address over the course of the Giveaway. To enter, you must complete the entry form with your email address. After entering correct information in all the fields online and clicking on the Submit button, you will immediately be entered in a database for a random drawing to win the Prize offered in the Giveaway. Entries will be made by authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. The authorized account holder is deemed as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. If the potentially winning entry is an Internet or other computer entry, the potential winner must provide rockfire media with significant proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the potentially winning entry.

5. PRIZE
Winner will receive a prize of “30A Spring Prize Pack” containing a 30A T-Shirt, keychain, koozie and frisbee valued at approximately $50. Any prize or prize certificates not claimed from Sponsor within forty-five (45) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. Winners are not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsor in its sole discretion may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

4. GIVEAWAY DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS
Winner will be selected in a randomized drawing from all eligible entries received from the Giveaway. Potential winner will be notified by e-mail by 5 PM EST on Tuesday April 3. Winner must reply by email to claim the Prize within forty-eight (48) hours or of the initial contact from rockfire media or by 12 noon Friday April 6 in order for documentation to proceed.

5. DISQUALIFICATION
Contest sponsors are not responsible for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer, telephone transmissions, technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Giveaway, as solely determined by rockfire media, will be disqualified. Here’s some more information about the festivities:

@shelbyalerts is an automated service provided by local meteorologist Erik Proseus of MemphisWeather.net. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found out about a watch or warning through this account up to 10 minutes or more in advance of any other avenue. As I said, you get these alerts as they are issued. Once the National Weather Service of Memphis issues a watch or warning that includes Shelby county, this account tweets instantly. With SMS alerts turned on, this tweet is sent to your phone within seconds. Let me tell you how to set this up.

Step 1: Sign into your Twitter account. From the drop down menu in the top right corner, select “Settings”.

Step 2: Select the “Mobile” tab within the Settings menu. Enter in your mobile phone number, and place a checkmark in the box next to receive notification of “Tweets from people you’ve enabled for mobile notifications”.

Step 3: Visit the @shelbyalerts page. Click to “Follow” it, and click the mobile phone emblem right next to the Follow button to receive an SMS alert every time this account tweets.

And that’s it. You will now be immediately notified on your cell phone of any watch or warning issued for Shelby County. No clutter, no spam. Just real-time alerts.
